I'm always on the lookout for ideas to help my clients enjoy their homes. It looks as though this year's Capital Home Show show is chock-full of good ideas. Join me tomorrow-Friday, it's at the Dulles Expo Center. The show also runs through Sunday afternoon. The hours are: Friday, Sept. 25: 11a – 9p;  Saturday, Sept. 26: 10a-9p; and Sunday, Sept. 27: 10a-6p.

This year’s Home Show features, among others, Jason Cameron, host of the DIY Network’s “Man Caves” program and Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Brent Ridge from the Cooking Channel’s “The Fabulous Beekman Boys”. (See their photo, left)

New this year is “Shedquarters:” three unique sheds constructed in the middle of the show floor. One is supposed to feel and look like a “French Country Hideaway,” another a “Writer’s Retreat,” and the third a “Wind Tasting Room.” All will be built by the Interior Redesign and Staging Association. Make sure to vote for your favorite of the three.  More info is at www.capitalhomeshow.com
